When you create an account, we store your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
When you scan an item, we store a small thumbnail of your photo along with the scan results. We never store your original full-resolution photos.
Your photos are sent to third-party services to identify the item and find pricing data. These services process the image to return results but do not permanently store your photos.
We use your scan history to provide features like your basket, history, and exports. We may review scans internally for quality assurance and to improve accuracy.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.
We send transactional emails like sign-in links and receipts. We will never sell your email or send marketing emails without your permission.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels.
We record anonymous usage statistics (page views, which buttons are clicked, how far you scroll) in our own database so we can see how the site is working. This data is not sold or shared with third parties. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad tech. A random identifier is stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) to count unique visitors, and your IP address is hashed before it is stored. Clear your browser storage to reset the identifier.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Data is only shared with the service providers needed to run PickOrDip.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
